Gretchen Grossman
Author of Ring Around the Rosary, Gretchen Grossman, in her debut memoir, charts the lifetime evolution of a girl born Catholic, turned free spirit. Gretchen Grossman entered a convent quite by accident and became ravaged by its sensory deprivation.
After leaving the convent, Gretchen met Coleman, a man who promised to be her lifetime love, but extraordinary circumstances shattered that dream. Gretchen, Coleman and their two children reinvented the meaning of family life in a totally new and creative way in two of the greatest cities in the world, Chicago and New York.
Gretchen began writing in 2006, shortly after she retired from over 30 years of teaching. She completed her first project, Ring Around the Rosary, in 2014.
She currently resides in Decatur, Illinois.
